Random pre-vacation post

So I have some post-surgery pre-vacation pictures to post and I'm doing it here.  I just finished my blog book for Trey's third year (338 pages and 680 photos), and I am reminded of how much I love my blog books.  I hope Trey treasures them as much as I do.  However, because of that book, I have to do this random post because I want all of our summer memories documented.

Trey watching the musicians...the boy can't get enough.

"Is there a problem, mommy?"

On the Monday after Trey's surgery, we went to swimming lessons.  I wasn't sure if he was ready, but I'm glad he went because he was the only one there and got a one-on-one lesson.  Over the course of the summer he has become really comfortable in swimming lessons and I am looking forward to seeing some progress this fall.

After swimming lessons, Trey and I drove to Salem for lunch with my dad on his birthday.  We stopped at the Woodburn Outlet Mall on the way to get some shoes.  As I was trying on shoes, Trey kept pulling shoes off of the rack, trying them on, and saying, "These shoes are perfect for me!" in his super high squeaky post-surgery voice.

Birthday lunch with Grandpa
P.S. Our new favorite place to go with Grandpa is Elmer's which is not half bad.
