About 90 minutes in to our beach trip,
our boy said, "Mama, can we go home now?"
Apparently, we were pushing it a little by taking him
to the beach so soon after being sick.
We decided to listen to his words and headed home early.
He fell promptly asleep in the car, of course.
Randy has had Trey on his skateboard since Trey was walking. Trey loves putting on his helmet and pads and riding Randy's longboard.
On the Saturday of Father's Day weekend, we went wine tasting with Kris and John. Trey slept through the first two wineries (don't worry, we were outside and kept an eye on the car), and we enjoyed some new wines.
The wine was good, but the gelato was even better.

A note about fathers:
Trey is so lucky to have such a great dad. There is no one in this world who can make Trey laugh as hard as Randy can. Randy is doing his best to instill his values and favorite things into his son, and I think he's off to a great start. So far some of Trey's favorite things include animals, skateboarding, and music. This coming up weekend Randy is taking Trey on a float trip down the river. I know Trey is going to love it!
Randy and I are also very lucky to have amazing fathers in our lives. I can't say enough about my dad and Doug and the models they have been to me and Randy as parents, spouses, and citizens of the world. We are so blessed to have such strong, intelligent, and true men in our lives.
