Today we took a trip to the Great Wall of China in the area of Mutianyu. We were picked up at our hotel by a van and were driven to the wall. We had an English speaking guide which was fantastic. The wall is pretty amazing and just spectacular. It is hard to believe that it was started over 2,000 years ago, took over 100 years to build, used hundreds of thousands of workers, and stretches for so far.
After the wall, we went to a restaurant and had Peking duck. We also had a huge amount of food including rabbit. That was one of Randy's picks and while I tried a small bite, I left almost all of it for the others to enjoy. The Peking duck was pretty delicious.
For those of you wondering about Dave, he begins playing tennis tomorrow (Tuesday). His mom and her friends are currently trying to figure out how to get tickets because it has been difficult to get our hands on them and at this point we do not have any.

How cool that you got to see the wall. When the kids and I studied that time in history, we were amazed at the loss of life and the forced labor involved in building it. It is an amazing structure though and must have been quite incredible to see in person. You're looking good and sounding good! And you're doing really well with the blogging! Love, Wardeh
